Bethlehem Women’s Museum

This museum, which lies at the heart of the old Museum of Underground Prisoners in Jerusalem, displays a special aspect of the struggle for the independence of the State of Israel: that of the women fighters. The museum is designed as a British prison cell, and reveals the story of the Jewish women fighters in the days of the Yishuv.

The response: Inside a museum designed as an authentic British prison cell, a moving film photographed at the site is displayed, describing the difficulties and challenges faced by the Jewish women fighters in the British prison.
